50 Years of City Partnership – Gerson da Cunha’s Mumbai
The city partnership between Mumbai and Stuttgart celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. To mark this jubilee, we have the great pleasure to welcome a very special guest. Gerson da Cunha is a long-standing journalist, author and actor from Mumbai. He launched his career working for the news agency Press Trust of India-Reuters, before moving on to a communication agency where he worked for 25 years. For UNICEF he worked on health campaigns such as the vaccination of children in slums. Besides, he appeared as an actor in well-known Indian films and on stage. In spite of his advanced age, he is still committed to matters such as the provision of sanitary facilities and women’s equality. Having spent most of his life in Mumbai, Gerson da Cunha has a special relationship with the metropolis. In the Tea Talk he will speak about the city’s partnership with Stuttgart, and Mumbai’s development over the years alongside his own biography.
